Why is my Sodastream Sparkling Water Maker (Screw-In Cylinder) not carbonating properly / Water is leaking?

Try the steps below to get back to bubbling & stop the overflow:

1. Make sure the carbonating bottle is compatible with your machine
   
2. Make sure the water is filled up to the fill line.

3. Make sure the bottle is inserted correctly:
   * The bottle is inserted correctly when there is a gap between the bottle and the base.

4. Make sure the carbonation is done properly - Always fizz water before adding any flavor!
5. Make sure you are not out of CO2:
   • To check if you’re out of CO2, first make sure the Sodastream Screw-in system Cylinder is tight enough and retighten it, if necessary, by twisting the cylinder to the right. If you're still not getting bubbles and if you don't hear a sputtering sound when you press the carbonating button, you may be out of CO2.
